The Fron
‘The Fron’ is a luxury, five-star, Welsh countryside guesthouse and restaurant situated near Builth Wells offering some of the finest accomodation in the area. As well as half board and full board options, The Fron also offers a self-catering option at ‘Lily-pond Lodge’.
Located at the foot of the Epynt mountain, ‘The Fron’ enjoys magnificent views of the surrounding mid-Wales countryside and is a peaceful and tranquil place in an idyllic location – or for the more energetic, a base for many outdoor activities (see: ‘Things to do’).
Originally built c1750, ‘The Fron’ was renovated to an exceptionally high standard in 2007. It retains many of its original features such as oak beams and there are seasoned solid wooden floors throughout the light and spacious, open-plan lounge and dining area giving access to the bedrooms, situated on the first floor, accessed via a wooden staircase and gallery. In addition, guests can relax in the sauna or on the sun lounge, which leads to the patio area and hot tub!
With extremely comfortable accommodation – all with en-suite rooms – ‘The Fron’ offers modern services complemented by excellent home cooking using the finest local produce. ‘The Fron’ also has free wireless broadband internet access throughout.
